Chocolate Strawberry Tart Recipe

This Chocolate Strawberry Tart is ideal for any occasion. It's a crowd-pleaser with a rich chocolate crust, creamy chocolate filling, and fresh strawberries on top.

Ingredients

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes
  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Instructions

  • Pulse the flour, powdered sugar, butter, cocoa powder, and salt in a food processor until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the egg yolk and heavy cream.
  • Pour the mixture through the feed tube of the food processor and process until the dough forms a ball.
  • In a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom, press the dough into the bottom and up the sides.
  • With a fork, prick the bottom of the crust all over.
  • 30 minutes in the freezer.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the crust is set and dry to the touch.
  • Allow to completely cool on a wire rack.
  • Heat the heavy cream and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until the butter is melted and the mixture is hot.
  • Take the pan off the heat and stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Allow to stand for 1-2 minutes before whisking until smooth.
  • Incorporate the vanilla extract.
  • Spread the cooled crust evenly with the chocolate mixture.
  • Arrange the strawberry slices on top of the chocolate.
  • Warm the strawberry jam in a small saucepan over low heat until it is melted and smooth.
  • Brush the strawberries with the jam.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
  • Slice the tart and serve it chilled.
