Chocolate Banana Tart with Mousse Recipe

This decadent chocolate banana tart is filled with a rich chocolate ganache and topped with a layer of creamy banana mousse. It's an ideal dessert for any occasion.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter.
  • In a 9-inch tart pan, press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside to cool.
  • Combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, softened butter, and cream cheese in a separate bowl.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  • Continue to whip until stiff peaks form after adding the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Fold in the whipped cream until completely combined with the banana mixture.
  • Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  • Heat the semisweet chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  • Spread the chocolate evenly over the top of the banana mousse.
  • Allow at least 2 hours before serving to chill.
