Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter.
- In a 9-inch tart pan, press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from oven and set aside to cool.
- Combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, softened butter, and cream cheese in a separate bowl.
- Blend until smooth.
- Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
- Continue to whip until stiff peaks form after adding the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Fold in the whipped cream until completely combined with the banana mixture.
- Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
- Heat the semisweet chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Spread the chocolate evenly over the top of the banana mousse.
- Allow at least 2 hours before serving to chill.
