Apple Rose Tarts Recipe
These elegant apple rose tarts are a lovely and tasty way to impress your guests. Sweet and tart apples are layered on top of flaky puff pastry and drizzled with apricot glaze for sweetness. Ideal for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Dust with powdered sugar
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 thinly sliced red apples
- 1/4 cup apricot jam
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 35 minutes
- Total Time: 55 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- To prevent browning, toss the thinly sliced apples in a bowl with lemon juice.
- Warm the apricot jam and water in a small saucepan over medium heat until it forms a smooth glaze.
- Puff pastry should be rolled out and cut into 6 equal strips.
- On each strip, apply a thin layer of apricot glaze.
- Arrange the apple slices on each strip, curved side up, slightly overlapping the slices.
- Fold the puff pastry bottom half over the apple slices.
- Roll the pastry tightly from one end to form a rose-shaped tart.
- Bake the tarts for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown, in a muffin tin.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
