This delectable Creme Brulee Tart with Blueberries and Strawberries is ideal for any occasion. The tartness of the berries and the crunchy caramelized sugar topping complement the rich and creamy filling.

Ingredients

Time Needed

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 40 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Allow the pie crust to cool after baking it for 10-12 minutes.
  • Combine the heavy cream, milk, and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan.
  • Stir constantly over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Separately, whisk together the egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt.
  • Whisk constantly as you gradually add the cream mixture to the egg mixture.
  • Fill the cooled pie crust with the mixture.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling has firmed up.
  • Allow the tart to cool for at least 1 hour.
  • Before serving, sprinkle the remaining sugar over the top of the tart and caramelize it with a kitchen torch until golden brown.
  • Blueberries and sliced strawberries should be placed on top of the tart.
