Apple Rose Tartlets Recipe

These apple rose tartlets are not only delicious but also visually appealing. Apples are thinly sliced and arranged in a rose shape on top of a square of puff pastry before being baked until golden brown. It's impossible to resist the combination of sweet apples, warm spices, and flaky pastry.

  • Prep Time: 30 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • Puff pastry should be rolled out and cut into 6 equal squares.
  • In a small bowl, combine the apricot preserves and water.
  • Brush the preserves mixture over each pastry square.
  • Combine the cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar in a separate bowl.
  • Arrange the apple slices, slightly overlapping, on top of each pastry square, and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Brush the tops of the apple slices with melted butter.
  • Fold the bottom half of the pastry square over the apple slices and lightly press to seal.
  • Roll the pastry tightly from one end to form a rose shape.
  • In a muffin tin, bake the apple rose tartlets for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.
  • Warm or at room temperature, serve.
