  • Cook Time: 12 minutes
  • Total Time: 32 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, butter, and sugar in a food processor until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Mix in the egg yolk until the dough comes together.
  • Divide the dough into four equal pieces and press one into the bottom and up the sides of four individual tart pans.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat to make the filling.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the salt.
  • Pour the filling into the baked crusts and chill for 1 hour, or until set.
  • If desired, garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
